SiriraJ’s Long-read Lab

- established at Siriraj Hospital since April 2021

Our lab focuses on utilizing long-read nanopore sequencing technology to answer biological questions faster and better than previous. We are prepared to push the boundaries of DNA/RNA sequence-based research, education, and real-world applications.

Here, biologist works closely with bioinformatician to design experiment and analyze data derived from studies conducted in collaboration with partners. We are working with physicians, private company, researchers, and students. Since 2017, we have trained/ lectured > 1000 participants in USA, Singapore, Thailand, Sweden, Norway, and SEA (Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam) to use this technology.

We implement long-read sequencing technology across a number of projects, including microbiology (bacteria, virus, fungi, protozoa), human genomics, cancer research, plant genome, marine organism, environmental research & the endangered species on Earth.
